I am the field director for Effort Vision. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization doing work in Haiti. We have many projects in Haiti that we run which 
I would love to talk to you about; however, the more urgent need is about five families whose homes were destroyed in the hurricane yesterday. There are now 17 people held up in brother Emmanus’s church with no food, and their personal belongings are scattered and/or destroyed.
In Haiti the people come to the church in the time of need looking for the pastor to help them in all their needs. Emmanus has no resources to meet all these needs; so he called me for help. We are reaching out to the Body of Christ to make the need known, and hopefully some will be able to help with this very recent crisis. Sonlight Ministries is standing with us in what we are doing in Haiti, and we asking for you to stand with us also. We are in need of monetary donations for the purchase of food and clothing for those who have been left homeless as a result of the hurricane.
